bottle of water 03 by Publication Critique

Take a good look at the bottle of water these days? What the hell happened here? When did we all the sudden decide that water was a precious jewel? I began to wonder when I saw the price tag on a bottle of Evian. Gees, is this water ever expensive! I am astounded at how big the bottled water business has become. If you took a trip into the past; say around 50 years ago; you could never sell a bottle of water for 2 bucks. That would be absurd back then. Regardless, bottled water sells like hotcakes in this modern era. Heck, we all have to admit we buy it. The only question is; which brand do you prefer the most?

I am sitting here with a purchased bottle of water? What is my deal? Why am I at home, drinking a bottle of water, when there are plenty of sinks around? Well, in my defense, there was a six-pack of them in the refrigerator. I spotted it and it was convenient. Isn't that what it always comes down to? How convenient is the next step in our everyday existence? We're always looking for those quick fixes. This is just our current mentality. I would have to say that I encountered oodles of bottled water while attending college. This place was the goldmine for water suppliers. I mean come on; with all those students hurrying in every direction, thousands of bottles were sold each week. It's amazing to me how our country is supposedly dehydrated. With everyone toting around a massive bottle of water. I can't see how they would be. It must be all the coffee. Maybe Starbuck's is defeating the bottled water craze. What do you think?

Are you sipping on a bottle of water as we speak? Please just tell me it's not that Evian crap. I cannot fathom why their water is so expensive. For all I know it comes from a college kid, who fills bottles in his apartment's kitchen sink. Is it even purified and cleaned properly, because it sure has a funky taste. Kind of like dirt. Personally when it comes to purchasing a bottle of water, I have to go with Aquafina. At least I know it is cleaned properly at the Pepsi plant. I believe it is the same water they use to produce their soft drinks. So, if you're going to grab a bottle of water, more expensive doesn't mean better.
